Mario Kart Double Dash!! is the 4th installment in the Mario Kart Series. It was published and developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube. There are many features from past Mario Kart games, such as Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, and Mario Kart: Super Circuit. This is the only Mario Kart game (so far) to have two players ride in a kart at the same time. Also, it is the first game to have kart specified for certain characters. It was one of the most popular console games the year it was released, 2003.
New Features
As with every new Mario Kart game, some new features have been added to help the games be more unique. Some new features in Mario Kart Double Dash!! are:
- 2 Riders per Kart
- Character Specific Karts
- Special Items
- 2, 3, and 4 Player Mode
- Double Item Boxes
- No longer able to retry a failed race.
